Eriss Pin is a Dinian living in Gotts Keep since her youthhood. She works in a pottery in the lower quarters, turning out everyday wares rather than show pieces.
She hums when she is nervous, most of all while setting up her stall. At festivals she sings plainly, old folk songs sung from the middle of the square, without asking leave or softening her voice.
She has a young daughter, born in the city. The child’s father is Ormat. This is known, remarked once or twice, and then largely left alone.
At home, her voice slips back toward the south. She knows songs others recognise only halfway. She does not make a point of either.
