Overview

Before the Evergild cities rose in marble and gold, there was only wildness — tangled woods, roaring rivers, beasts whose names are now long forgotten. House of Beasts remembers what the others choose to forget.

They are the wardens of the untamed, the guardians of ancient pacts with fang and forest. They know the old ways: how to call a hawk to their wrist with a whistle, how to ask the river for safe passage, how to weave salves from flowers that bloom only under blood-moons.

Their influence remains vital, even as civilisation gnaws at the borders of the wild. The Evergild may pretend to have tamed nature, but without House Beasts, no harvest would thrive, no rare creature would bow to harness, no herb would mend a wound.

Yet to some, they are viewed as primitive — a necessary, if inconvenient, relic of a wilder age. House of Beasts wears this disdain like a mantle of moss and thorn.

Domain

Their home is Greenmire, a vast and sprawling territory where the city’s edges blur into thick woods and misted groves. Here, ruins lie half-swallowed by vines, and rare beasts prowl paths known only to the Beastcallers.

At its heart stands Wyrdholt, their living manor — an immense, ancient tree grown into halls and towers, its bark inscribed with sigils older than any city charter. Wyrdholt is said to breathe, to shift, and to dream.
