Lord Tavian Avenloré

Evergild Fae

Husband of Lady Lineia Avenloré

Brother of Warden Juniper Bryrehart

Son of The House of Beasts

Tavian is a man of the earth, unmistakably fae, though he barely resembles the refined ideal. While most of his kind are tall and slender, Tavian is towering and solidly built, with massive hands, long limbs, and a wide, easy grin. His red hair and beard are untamed, falling in shaggy waves around his shoulders. Though fae in blood, he carries the weight of the world in his frame — not ethereal, but elemental.

He is rarely seen without mud on his boots, herbs in his satchel, and a silent hound at his side. He prefers the hush of trees to the rustle of parchment, and speaks to stone and bark before people. When he does speak, it is with calm certainty, as though translating something older than words. He is said to know which root cures which sorrow, and which branch to press against the chest of a fevered child.

To Gwynviène, he is unnerving — not for his power, but for his perception. He sees beneath the surface, appearing in moments of stillness like a whisper from the wild. To Lineia, he is grounding — an anchor who has slowly, without force, begun to reshape her understanding of knowledge itself. To others, he is a myth wrapped in red hair and moss, unsettling not because he doesn’t belong, but because he clearly does.

Lineia and Tavian, sharing a moment in the forest.
